Turns Out, I Was Making My Way Here All Along

I’m pretty sure my whole life has been quietly collecting pieces for this chapter. The art classes, design career, random treasures I couldn’t throw away, and thoughts scribbled on scraps of paper all finally found a place to land.

Creating collage art feels like putting together a puzzle without knowing the picture first, trusting the connections will show up along the way. My work is colorful, layered, imperfect, and curious... kind of like life itself.

I’m so happy you’re here, and I hope my art reminds you to stay curious too.

The Why

The Things I Keep Coming Back to

Curiosity over certainty. Meaning over perfection. Questions over answers. My work lives somewhere in that space, collecting little reminders along the way.

The Path That Led Me Here

Childhood

Always singing and drawing

As a child, I was usually singing old country songs, impersonating Elvis, coloring in my coloring books, or drawing. I grew up in Cincinnati, but my grandparents had a farm in Kentucky where we spent a lot of time playing in the creek, catching crawdads and frogs, picking strawberries, stringing green beans, and going on hay rides. Those summers cultivated a lifelong love of nature, family, and finding beauty in ordinary things.

Earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Art Academy of Cincinnati

Art was always where my interests and strengths came together, so choosing a major felt like an easy decision. My high school art teacher introduced me to the Art Academy of Cincinnati, & thankfully I got in because I hadn't applied anywhere else! I took two years of fine art foundations, including painting, drawing, photography, & sculpture and then chose Graphic Design as my focus. Classes were split between the Cincinnati Art Museum & the Mt. Adams campus, where I learned to parallel park while hauling a tackle box of supplies, a giant portfolio case, and a backpack up and down some very steep hills. This photo was taken on graduation day with my grandmothers.

The Start of my Career

This photo is from my first job as a graphic designer at a company that created custom Hershey bar wrappers for birth announcements, weddings, and special events. I'm pictured proudly posing beside my very large Apple desktop computer.

Over the years, I went on to work as an in-house designer for a residential properties company, a digital health company, and a technology company, while taking on freelance projects along the way.

Ad Agency Life to Creative Director & Marketing Lead

In more recent years, I had the opportunity to work at a start-up advertising company and experienced the agency side of the industry after years as an in-house designer. From there, I moved into a Creative Director and Marketing Lead role for an e-commerce company.

That experience gave me a behind-the-scenes look at how businesses actually work: how ideas become products, how stories are shared, and how you connect with the people who need what you're creating. Those lessons have been invaluable in building this business today.

Coming Full Circle

After more than twenty years of marriage and raising two incredible kids, life has begun to look a little different. With fewer practices and school pickups filling the calendar, I've found space to return to something that has always been part of me: making art.

This season feels less like starting over and more like coming back to myself. My hope is to create meaningful work, inspire curiosity, and stay open to whatever possibilities come next. The future feels bright.

Stay Curious

Laura Beth was made to create. The way she sees the world... finding meaning, humor, and beauty in the little things... comes through in everything she makes.
