'She Can and She Will' Framed Original

This original mixed media collage has the words "SHE CAN AND SHE WILL". It brings together shades of pink, a flamingo, and a vintage postcard of a woman holding her baby. A fragment of broken mirror is embedded within the artwork, a reminder to see in yourself the strength you so easily recognize in others.

At its heart, this piece is about the quiet power of femininity and believing you can do hard things.

I've always loved the idea behind the Henry Ford quote, "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right." There is so much power in what we believe about ourselves. The stories we repeat in our heads can either become the things that hold us back or the things that help carry us forward.

The woman and child also made me think about the divine feminine and the kind of strength that doesn't always look like strength. It can be nurturing and intuitive, creative and resilient, soft and incredibly powerful all at once. Strength doesn't have to mean becoming harder.

And then there's the mirror.

It's there because ultimately, she is you.

She can and she will is a gentle reminder for the days when you aren't quite sure. You can do hard things. You are stronger than you think. And sometimes believing that you can is where it all begins.
